Russell Simmons And Flavia At Diamond Empowerment Event
Former Miss Universe Tanzania, Flaviana Matata,
was the guest of honor at a reception on Tuesday,
May 25th, hosted by Russell Simmons and
the Diamond Empowerment Fund in New York City.
Matata is the newest African Angel for the non-profit organization which supports education programs that help empower poor folks in African nations where diamonds are a natural resource. Matata is already on the job—having already visited theAfrican Leadership Academy and the CIDA City Campus. Sounds like a cause we can get behind.
