Cleveland radio jock, Basheer Jones of Radio One station 1490 recently spoke with celebrated author and poet Sapphire about domestic violence in our community and other relating issues concerning our nation. This month we highlight Domestic Violence Awareness Month and bring important topics to the forefront that need to be addressed.
Sapphire gave us the emotional book and film, PRECIOUS: Based on the novel PUSH. It depicts the story of a young girl who grew up dealing with incest and abuse. We all loved the stellar performances by the entire cast and crew for their interpretation of the marveled book. Sapphire’s story is an interesting and inspiring story.
