Here is a simple recipe for making baked beans in the crock pot.
1 pound dried small white beans — rinsed
4 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup molasses
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 onion — chopped
1/4 pound salt pork — cut into 1″ cubes
1 Tablespoon dijon-style mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1. In slow-cooker, combine all ingredients.
2. Cover and cook on LOW 13 to 14 hours, stirring occasionally, if possible.
This may seem like a long time but the end result is delicious!
