A church deacon in New Jersey has been accused of sexually assaulting a child during religious services.
Joseph V. Pullen Jr., 59, of Pemberton Township, allegedly assaulted a girl during a service at Calvary Baptist Church on Sunday, said the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.

Pullen and the victim were alone together at the time of the alleged assault at the Pemberton Township church, the prosecutor’s office said.
