I appreciate your story and your example. Saving yourself is not subject that people talk about freely. Kids, or adults for that matter, think that it is an unrealistic goals that is too extreme to consider. I lost my virginity too young it it was hard for me to spiritually recover. I was saved a lived 9 sexually pure years before I married. I have opened my eyes to a more opened minded view but I still think that we need people like you to show us the way to achieve the goals of purity.

I feel abstinence should be pushed in this generation. Dr Marsh hit it on the nail. We live in a society where the world promotes so much sex. We as believers have to stand on the word of GOD. The flesh will never be satisfied. Sometimes the things that seem right to us can later be a curse to us. God has called us to live a pure lifestyle. God never said it was wrong to have sex, He said it’s wrong if it’s outside of marriage. Sex was never created for those that are single. It was created for the married folk. For those that are single, you are supposed to practice abstinence. Your Body doesn’t belong to you. You have been brought with a price. Trust me, it may feel good now, but you will pay later. The bible says the wages of sin is death. The choice is up to you.

I don’t think abstinence should be pushed like a political agenda. In my opinion, it is up to the individual to decide what they are ready for. I do not think that self-worth depends upon the virgin factor. Be comfortable in your own skin, and do what you believe is right for you.
