Juice Up Your Blackberry For Free

With so many people on a budget, I decided that I would put my folks up on game with some free applications for your Blackberry. Now before you hit the back button just because the apps I’ve listed are free doesn’t mean they don’t work. Many of the apps below are in heavy rotation on my device so don’t sleep.  Some of my favorites you might want to take note of are Anagram: this application allows you to integrate contact info from an email signature right into your contacts, Word Press: this app should get the attention of my fellow bloggers here on Elev8 it allows you to edit your blog right from you Blackberry and Berry Torch: turns your Blackberry into a flashlight. So take a look there is something for everybody.

Vlingo Free

Control your BlackBerry with your voice with this easy to use application. No more texting while driving (not that you should be anyway), with this you can send a text, email, or open certain applications with your voice alone.

CaptureIt Free

Capture It is an application designed to help fellow developers and Blackberry users share a picture of their screen with ease. We see many bloggers use screenshots to review applications, people showing off their new home screens, and other developers wanting to show their application to consumers online.

Well Capture It allows you to take a screen shot, and save a jpeg to your device.

If your device has a memory card inserted, the capture will be saved there. If no memory card is available it will be saved to the device memory.

You can download our application OTA or load it via Desktop Manager. The application is available to all Blackberry devices with 4.3 os or higher.

Buzz Me Free

Buzz Me, free app to do what the phone should already do! Rather than vibrating first and then ringing after the vibration is finished.

BerryTorch Free

The application shows a blank, white screen and activates the LED. Through this you can see in the dark.

CallsBlocker Free

This is an application that allows the user to block unwanted calls or calls from unknown, private or withheld numbers.

Through this you won’t get bugged anymore by advertisement or unwanted calls. Another feature is that you can block a set of numbers that starts with specific digits (e.g. all 190 numbers).

You can even choose numbers from any contact in the address book and simply add them to the list of blocked numbers through one click. If you are in the Call Log and want to add a number from there, you just click Menu -> ‘Add Number to blocked List’ and then the number will be added to the list of blocked numbers. No need for the long copy-paste procedure.

Google Voice App Free

Make calls and send SMS from your Google Voice number. Listen to your voicemail and read transcripts! Requires a Google Voice account. This service is free from Google, except for Google Voice charges for international calls; additional carrier charges may also apply.
