oh yeah one of my favorites is called ‘Capitalist N****r’ by Chika Onyeani
its basically about black economic empowerment thru keeping the money in OUR OWN community. Garvey type stuff, re-building Black Wallstreet, etc.
and of course the ‘Kenyatta’ series by Donald Goines. it was 3 books that was basically like Omar from The Wire, but on sum 60s blackpower ish. real hood.
i havent read all of the books but i remember PUSH was a good one, i never thought it would become a movie
men cry in the dark & women thou art loose were good movies too.
i dont read too many fictional books but its kool to switch it up sometimes
