Believe God…Even When It Feels Stupid!

Can you rel8 to this?

Sometimes my life seems to make no sense – in the natural.  Things that would ideally appear the “normal” action quite often become the complete opposite of what God has in store.  Don’t get me wrong, God isn’t some sadistic, controlling spirit man who snickers at us while we squirm our way out of life’s circumstance but He does want to know if we trust Him.  After all, isn’t that what any real relationship is predicated upon – trust?

Here are a few examples of people who did some pretty interesting things at God’s prompting and the results are evident by our lives:

  • Abraham and Sarah had a baby well into their HUNDRED’S (Isaac) and after he was born, God told Abraham to kill him.  He later provided a ram in the bush.
  • Moses was way beyond retirement age when he got his assignments from God to free the people.
  • Bodies of water parted at the pounce of a stick
  • Elijah disappeared into thin air
  • Hosea was instructed to marry a prostitute – Hmph!  So much for his reputation
  • Jonah got stuck in the belly of a freakin’ whale
  • Mary became pregnant without having EVER  been touched by a man
  • People waited around for a dead Jesus to show up in a tiny room

Oh and there’s more.  Plenty!  But I am convinced that God isn’t just creating situations for us to look “stupid,” but for us to learn how to “trust in the Lord with all [our] heart and lean not to [our] own understanding,” (Proverbs 3:5).  We will never fully comprehend some of His requests and that’s okay.  The most important part is that we adhere.  That is the ultimate end to every command that to the naked eye appears foolish.

I admonish you, if He told you to do it, be it, say it or go…you’d better heed His voice.  Don’t try and alter what you believe you’ve heard according to what would make you most comfortable.  Be uncomfortable so that you can grow in your faith and in the execution of knowledge which is wisdom.  I’m just saying.

Not to mention the message is more substatial than the one testimony of Tyler Pery ;) … Besides there are TOO many tesimonies of which are all equal because WHATEVER (ie. pain, tears, emotional heartache etc.) that person had to edure to get to where they are today could ever be undersood by anyone but themselves.

    @DoCZero

That’s what wrong with so many people you tend to live off the “TESTIMONIES” of other people. Why not listen and understand the deeper message behind this story.

In other words put your devotion in God; He does’nt want part-time lovers because no man/woman can praise two masters. As an individual YOU are going to help God keep his promise. Two weeks ago my preacher preached this sermon and he said

“When God makes a promise IT IS a declaration of what He had determined is definite in our future.”

As Christians we must let go and trust God. After all “God makes a promise that borders on impossibility”

Whaaa!? This makes absolutely no sense. I was expecting something more substantial. Something like Tyler Perry was homeless but his faith in god and himself has helped him become one of the most powerful forces in show business. Not “Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall…” Boo!

We can only serve one God (not Gods) if we truly want eternal life and peace within our lives. What people need to know is that they’re false gods claiming to be God, but there’s only one true and living God and he’s the creator of life. No other gods can claim to have created life because they cannot. False gods worship the flesh, monuments of themselves, money and greed. They can be very manipulative and deceiving. Take away their monuments and their monies and you’ll find that they’re powerless. False gods will interpret the “Bible” to you for monetary gain. They will pretend to have your best interests at heart but, in reality only God the creator has your interest at heart.

Whenever you read the Bible seek HIM first and he’ll open up so many doors and your wisdom will soar above all mankind. They are so many followers of false gods so do not look up to them for salvation. They can only offer you material things and only if they choose to because what they truly seek is your flesh. They will say things to you, for instance, in Jesus name. These are the same one’s that crucified Christ. They’ll have you believe that Christ was the only prophet that walked the earth and only through his name you’ll be saved. This is true to a certain point and that point is “Christ” represent prophets of the past and the future. So, when they say “in Jesus name” what they’re actually referring to are all the prophets of God the creator whether they know it or not.

The true and living God, the creator of the heavens and earth has more than one prophet and they all represent HIM. He is God the Father, the Son (or Sons “prophets”) and the Holy Spirit. When “Christ” walks the earth again majority of us will not know because our beliefs are very controversial. This is why “the chosen are few”. In fact, read the Bible (or continue to read the Bible) and you’ll see that “Christ” did walked the earth again(under another name of course)in the 20th century and was crucified (killed) again by followers of false gods. God Sons are chosen and their names are most likely never the same. God Sons carry his messages through the flesh and lives eternally through the Holy Spirit. There’s so much you can learn but true divine knowledge only comes to you when you seek God the creator of life first.
