Grieving Father Rejoices When He Opens Son’s Coffin

A premature baby declared dead by doctors was found to be alive hours later when he was taken home for a funeral wake.
The baby’s father, Jose Alvarenga, was told by doctors that his son had died shortly after birth.
Staff from the state-run hospital in Asuncion, the Paraguayan capital, delivered the infant’s body to Mr Alvarenga’s home fours hours later.
Shortly afterwards, the grieving father opened the baby’s coffin to bid an emotional farewell to his son.
“I opened it to look at his remains and found that the baby was breathing,” Mr Alvarenga said. “I began to cry.”
He rushed back to the hospital with his unnamed baby in his arms and nurses placed the infant in an oxygen chamber.
He is now reported to be in a stable condition.
“This is a very unusual case,” said Ernesto Weber, head of pediatric intensive care at the hospital.
He acknowledged that the doctor handling the case did not properly check the infant’s vital signs, and said an investigation would be carried out.

Whether our Lord and Savior intervened to resurrect this baby or to lead the father into opening the coffin, there was divine intervention. Its sad to date that we have none believers when the truth is all around you. VA_Slimm, I will keep you in my prayers you seem bitter towards God for some reason. Remember this, the Devil is a live and many of people forget the devil is powerful and tend to blame negative happenings in our life on God. God just wants to love you and you to love him, you will be surprised what God can do for those who put their trust in him, I have proof. Its funny you VA_Slimm said by fate. All of y’all talkin about God had somethin to do with it. Ha Ha Ha. There is no God. God is a mythical creature created by man out of ignorance and fear. And I know I’m gonna be told I’m the one ignorant and fearful but out of my own personal life experiences I know there’s no such god. What makes him the almighty? And we can’t question his authority? The little boy was found alive by fate. It was his destiny to be found alive. No act of god………

How can you say Jesse Jackson is a FABULOUS BLACK PARENT. He does not even recognize or have contact (I could be wrong) daughter by the other woman (forgive me, I don’t remember her name) nor does his children. That’s whack, no matter how they fill she is still their sister and she did not ask for this life she was dealt and they should open her with open arms. The family of a minister, give me a break.
brock i feel u cuz. i wouldnt care who was to blame for anything as long as i got my baby im good. speaking from a fathers point of view i can honestly say i wouldnt want no kinda charges filed against the drs. they are human n make mistakes. i actually was in the room when my sister was told that she might deliver a still born n im proud to say my nephew is stronger then ever. so u cant blame the drs. dor nothn they was doin their jobs. GOD bless the father and his lil man i hope they live well n enjoy each other for life. for all u non believers this is proof that its a higher being n he comes when hes needed
Praise the Lord the baby wasn’t buried alive. I don’t believe that the baby was dead and the Lord brought him back to life. I believe the doctor didn’t properly check the baby’s vital signs.
wow…Like I seriously can not believe some of you people. Like you can’t blame the doctors for this. You can’t blame anyone but you can give God all the praises. This happened to my grandmother. It’s all in God’s hands. He has the final word. and the man who called the baby a zombie, i’M SURE HE WILL BE A MIRACLE BABY AND IS A MIRACLE BABY. I’m not trying to judge anyone but God is the way and the will. If you don’t know God then you don’t know nothing.

Well said at JohnBrock. There are many things in life that can not be explained. I believe in miracles and God’s power. Now for those who do not believe in God, then okay, no explanattion needed at why you do not agree with my comment. However, I for have known and heard about people presumed to be dead, but somehow came to life. Again for me is all about faith and the belief that no matter what we as people plan or do God is still the one who holds all power in his hand. Everything happens for a reason. If it was time for that baby to go, then he would have been gone. Praise God for his mercy upon the family. To God Be The Glory.
My grandfather always used to say, “Don’t put a period where God puts a comma.” The doctors said that the baby was dead, but God is in control.

@JohnBrock that’s an impractical way of thinking. Good deal the miracle would have done if the father never opened the coffin for a final goodbye. What if he decided it would have just been to painful to look at his dead son again. Instead the baby would have been buried alive, and no one would have known. All because the hospital was too swift in their decision to declare him dead. So yes, someone needs to blamed for it. What if they’ve made the same mistake before? What if they make it again? Having this happen once is one time too many. Maybe the father isn’t thinking of pointing fingers now, but once things have cooled down, he should.

The entire staff involved need to be investigated. There is procedure in pronouncing someone dead. And with a baby or anyone, you gotta check the vitals or put the baby on a monitor. What is going on in South America? I’m glad the baby survived, but what will be the long term affect? I mean 4 hours is a long time if urgent care was needed. I smell medial malpractice……
we should all be happy for this man but what the hell they should be questioning the hell out of this doctor….there is no reason why this man shouldnt have checked the babys vital signs.

That is so awful. The so called Dr. should be in jail.
