VIDEO: Elev8 Blogger Represents At Diddy’s 40th
It was a star-studded night full of great music, incredible food, and free flowing champagne. Diddy entered his fourth decade in his signature grand style in plain view of all New York City and the world. Anybody who is anybody was there. The guest list included icon Martha Stewart, mogul Russell Simmons, legends Bono and Al Green, Reverend Al Sharpton, artist Avril Lavine, and our very own Elev8 blogger, Tech Papi, Mykel Mitchell.
Although Mykel was there as a personal guest of Bad Boy, and Platinum Life, a party sponsor, he took it upon himself to snap as many pictures as possible with his camera phone for me to share with our Elev8 family. Upon his return home, friends told us about the video they saw of the party airing on Fox News, where Mykel’s picture with Martha Stewart (with whom he spent several minutes chatting) popped up. The picture comes up fast in the video above, so watch for it!
Also, keep an eye out for the web edition of Platinum Life, which will launch on Facebook in December of 2009. Mykel will share more about that in his next Wednesday “Tech Papi” blog. But for now, enjoy Mykel’s personal pictures from inside Diddy’s 40th! Watch for the Platinum Life logo on the red carpet wall of fame!

John 2:1-3 When they ran out of wine…Jesus turned the water into wine…why wine and not apple juice or just let it remain water? Weddings were big parties in the bible day (much like now thus the reason for a wedding reception)…Sometimes as Christians we are so uptight and in truth that’s what makes the church ineffective…too busy ministering to one another and not the world…It’s the sick, not the well who needs a doctor…
There’s nothing wrong with being at an event. The pharisees questioned Jesus because he hung out with sinners and tax collectors (who were absolutely ruthless)…Can we please stop being so uptight?
To see a Sean Combs party(with free flowing champagne”)**reported on**
Is it any wonder that the Black church has absolutely no impact on our people. To see a Sean Combs party (with plenty of “free flowing champagne”) at best sends a duplicitous message to the masses. I find it incredible that a Christian blog is reporting on such an anti Christian event!
