Connect With God In One Simple Step

James 4:8 (New International Version)

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Although full of mystery and ultimately beyond our comprehension, God is not complicated at all. His promises are true and effective.

If you have been feeling far from God, but desire greater intimacy with him, draw near to him. Seek him out intentionally, deliberately. Spend time in his word, allowing it to saturate your mind. Talk to him, privately and away from distraction.

These days, I often spend my bible study time at a local coffee house. The chatter of patrons and moody jazz provides the perfect blend of background noise that permits me to give focused attention to my reading or journaling.

I sometimes refer to my morning appointments as “coffee with Papa.” I sip and read, sip and write, sip and reflect. It may sound like a luxury, but with a husband, four children, and a full schedule, taking time out to be alone with God is crucial to my sanity.

At different stations in my life, I have had to get creative about how I get alone with Papa. At one point, when I had three children all under four years of age, and none enrolled in kindergarten yet, my quiet time was spent crouching in the bathtub behind a shower curtain and a locked door at nap time. I was desperate. I hope that never changes.

Mykel and I have survived some really tough seasons in our short marriage – many have tested my faith not only in people, but in the Lord himself. I have wrestled with doubt, anger, hatred, jealousy. I have experienced success, peace, and joy. I have cried out to God in despair and pain. I have wept from sheer relief. When I have felt the gap widen, I have done what James encourages, and God has always met me – even when it didn’t feel like it.

Whether you feel as though you and God are BFFs or total strangers, seek him out. Let him draw you in close so he can love on you. Let him lavish you with affection and fill you with wisdom. Just make time.

Be blessed, Family!

You would think that a guy who rose from the dead and ascended into heaven for all eyes to see and performed the wealth of miracles claimed to him would of made it into the historical record It didn’t cause once the evidence is weighed there is very high odds that the figure known as Jesus did not even exist. The Christian Religion is a parody on the worship of the sun in which they put a man called Christ in the place of the sun. and pay him the adoration originally paid to the sun. (Thomas Paine 1737-1809) I don’t wanna be unkind, but I want to be factual I don’t wanna cause hurt feelings, but want to be academically correct in what I understand and know to be true. Christianity is just not based on Truth. I found that Christianity was in fact nothing more than a Roman story developed politically. The reality is Jesus was the solar deity of the Nostic Christian “SET” and like all other Pagan Gods he was a Mythical figure it was the political establishment that sought to historize the Jesus figure for Social Control. Christianity along with all the other theistic belief systems is the fraud of THE AGE it serves to detach the species from the natural world and likewise each other. It submits Blind Submission to authority it reduces human responsibility that GOD control’s everything and in turn awful crimes can be justified in the name of a divine pursuit and MOST importantly it empowers those who know the truth, but use the myth to manipulate and control societies the religious myth is the most powerful ever created and serves as a psychological soil upon which other myths can Flourish.
