Words To Pray For The Soldier In Your Life
Psalm 91 (New International Version)
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’
3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you make the Most High your dwelling-
even the LORD, who is my refuge-
10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 ‘Because he loves me,’ says the LORD, ‘I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation.’
If you don’t already do so, you might consider praying God’s word back to him. Psalm 91 is one of the best scriptures you can pray for a soldier or anyone who faces danger. You can either insert the person’s name where appropriate and pray it back to God verbatim, or simply form every statement into a request to God on behalf of your soldier. If praying verse 4, your prayer might say, Father God, cover John with your feathers,
and help him to find refuge under your wings. Let your faithfulness be his shield and rampart.
Naturally, if the soldier in your life has not come into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, you can and should pray for that above all. Death is a very real possibility for those on the battlefield, but eternal life is God’s gift to every person who asks for it. So if your soldier has not asked, pray that the Lord will inspire him or her to do so.
Will you take a moment to pray this Psalm back to God on behalf of someone who may need it? If no one comes readily to mind, ask the Holy Spirit to remind you of someone. At the very least, you can pray it for yourself. Be encouraged by the truth of God’s word. Let his promises wash over you, saturate your mind, and become your joyful preoccupation as you go throughout your day.

war is not the answer to every thing.Why can’t we all just get along as people and a unity.I have lots of friends and familiy fighting for what?just know i love you all and pray for your safety and to come home.Antoino A if you ever see this you know your in my heart.and in my prayers every day..

They Need Not Too be Over there in the First Place has they are wasting their time. Finding what you may ask? What Terror? What Death? What Shot or Kill? Time over and time again Home Should Have Invited them the First time; Yet There is the complaint that Our Economic Struggles and loss of jobs are the main Factor; Yet we Vest into the lives of the innocent, pouring currency down and paying too death.
The Time too Come home has Long Been lost? There is a Need for Action Yesterday Not Now…..

Just graduated college and heading to Basic,Airborne, and then Ranger in September.This is a prayer I will keep close for me and my fellow brothers and sisters at arms.I appreciate everyone’s love and respect on here and wish many blessings for those on here who currently have those that are serving here or aborad.

Well i am a daughter of a SGT Major in the army and he has never been deployed. our family was blessed to have him there. To say that a soildier signed up to get deployed is not 100% true. The military is one of the limited jobs that you will not get fired from dur to not being able to pay you so fo the idiots out there who like to blame it on that person is stupid. Some recruiters even guarantee that you wont be deployed promises you X amount of money with great insurance and medicare with benefits that the general public does not recieve. You get to travel to different countrie and differnt cultures some people jus want the expierience they didnt wan the deployment they jus wanted a stable life and if the idiots in the world who dont think or research be fore they oipen there ignorant mouths dont want that stability then they wouldnt understand. and for some people to enjoy the the fun things in life they need money and if you dont have a job like majority of the U.S you are going to do what you have to do to get that money to take care of families and them selves and to have the luxuries of the idiots that dont understand. so before some makes a judgement jump in their shoes first see their hardship and finacial issues see how they lost theirhomes or even their kids because they didnt have the money to support them. free housing sounds good to me.
I think this is a beautiful prayer. My boyfriend left for Iraq on father’s day. This is his 3rd trip over there. I am optimistic that he will return back home safely again. I pray for him daily. Thanks for all who are supporting our troops. Hopefully this mess will end soon.
Don’t be afraid to cry men and women of war, it cleanses the soul and it waters the seed within you called destiny which causes you to grow into what God create you for, and only he and you know what that is. You’re the Gold that’s going through the fire, and you will come out as pure Gold, only if you do things God’s way.
Whatever you do put God First. Do what God would want you to do, and say what God would want you to say. Take care of God’s business even in times of war, and he will take care of your business and you and your family. Remember you are a soldier in the army of the LORD. Don’t hurt people who have not done anything to you. For if you do God will judge you for that. Always listen to God first. If you seek to please God everything else will fall into place in time. We ourselves don’t know how strong we really are until we go through the fire, and realize who we really are. You’re stronger than you think. God will not put more on you than you can bare. You don’t know your limits, but God does. So trust him and walk in his ways and you’ll be alright.

Why r we praying for the soldiers to kill innocent people? This makes no sense at all to me. If anything, we should be praying for JEHOVAH’s Kingdom to come. Man can not solve our problems, only JEHOVAH can.
Its nice that we have people that help us remember to focus on the ones doing the most. Its so many things in life that are distracting, this is a breath of fresh air. We all have to be reminded that there is a price for freedom. Sending so much love and gratitude to all the troops
You have made a great sacrifice for your country and the Lord takes note of it. His love for you never fails and you shall be rewarded foe your sacrifice and steadfastness. The good Lord will supply your needs, through individuale who are aware of your needs and are preparing to serve you. Continue to trust that the Lord will keep His promises and that His servants will respond. Amen
