According to his official website, Bishop Clarence McClendon has been called to take “the whole gospel to the whole world for mankind’s whole deliverance,” and through his weekly services, as well as his conferences and crusades, he preaches to people of all ages, ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds.

“Who is Bishop Clarence McClendon?” It’s a question that need not be asked among residents of the more than 250 million homes he reaches each week through his international TV show, “A Miracle For You.” With “The Preachers of L.A.,” he’ll have a chance to reach even more people, particularly if the show—produced by the folks responsible for “Vindicated,” “106 & Gospel” and “The Sheards”—proves a hit.

“Preachers of L.A.” viewers that initially ask “Who is Bishop McClendon” will perhaps learn through the series that he began preaching at 15 and earned his first pastorate position at 19. He’s the founder and president of Clarence E. McClendon Ministries (CEMM), the umbrella corporation behind Full Harvest, as well as the Siloam Bible College and the Clarence E. McClendon Leadership Institute.

What might Bishop McClendon’s “Preachers of L.A.” story arc involve? Perhaps cameras will catch the “charismatic and ubiquitous” pastor, as Oxygen puts it, dealing with drama in the lives of Full Harvest worshipers. His flock “spans from skid row to the estates of Bel Air,” so there’s no shortage of potential plotlines.
