Fr. Joshua Johnson is a newly-ordained priest in the Diocese of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is taking the call to be a modern day missionary by speaking the language of hip hop.

Fr. Joshua uses the medium of rap music to communicate his message. He says,“We need to immerse ourselves in Jesus’ word so that he can speak truth to us.” Even if some of the skeptical young people aren’t totally convinced of Fr. Joshua’s message, they are at least compelled to hear him out, because it’s not every day that you meet a priest who raps.

Watch his inspiring delivery:

He is not the first hip hop priest to use modern music as an evangelism tool. Franciscan brother Father Stan Fortuna has been at it for years in Bronx New York.

What do you think of Fr Joshua’s  skills?
