Music City is in for an inspirational treat!
Today, Gospel Music Association announced the host for the 55th Annual Dove Awards and it’s a familiar face: Tauren Wells.
Wells returns as host this year for his second consecutive year after leaving a positive impression on the organization and consumers.
“Last year’s Dove Awards was such an incredible experience, we’ve decided to run it back,” Wells said. “I’m so excited to return as host for this year’s Dove Awards. It’s going to be a great night.”
The Doves extends past just a night though.
Some standout events celebrating the best in Gospel music this year include the following:
- A Brandon Lake Off The Record concert at the historic Ryman Auditorium
- A New Artist Showcase featuring the 2024 class of New Artists of the Year Nominees
- A singers/songwriters showcase on a river cruise aboard the General Jackson Showboat
Tauren Wells, who holds eight Dove Awards himself, adds to the excitement with his artsy demeanor and God-filled heart. Having just launched a new church in Austin, TX with his family this year, it’ll be exciting to see how he blends his roles as gospel singer and pastor with award show host.
The GMA Dove Awards unfolds this fall on October 1, 2024 at the Allen Arena in Nashville. Stay tuned to see who’s nominated!
