Wale includes the Mississippi Children’s Choir’s “I’m Blessed” in his song “Sue Me,” with gospel and R&B artist Kelly Price singing the sample.

The samples are reversed with Musiq Soulchild’s classic R&B hit “Love,” which debuted on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hop-Hop charts on December 30, 2000 and spent 38 weeks on the charts, peaking at no. 2. Gospel group Trini-i-tee 5:7’s (made up of singers Chanelle Haynes, Angel Taylor, and Terri Brown-Britton) song “Lord” (almost exactly) replicates Musiq’s track.
