As I get older, I realize more and more the importance of moving on things that I want to do. I am also fully aware that fear will usually try and rear its ugly head with issues that can be overcome by the simple law of doing. You do know that there are natural laws that are completely responsive to spiritual laws right? Like, “Faith without works is dead,” James 2:20. The spiritual law is that without the proactive doing, you aren’t really operating in faith. The natural law then becomes – nothing. Nothing manifests the way you want or need because you did nothing to exercise your faith. Most times we DO nothing because we are afraid. Of what – I often wonder. What in the world are we afraid of…that something GOOD will actually come from a great idea that we have – that someone will say yes – that we might actually get the job – What? I’d like to render notice to fear, once and for all.
*clearing my throat*
Dear Fear,
Kick rocks!
You have stifled us long enough. We grab you by the neck and render you powerless. We will operate in the power, love and sound mind that we were promised and we will begin to see fruit in our lives because we are going to start doing – even if it hurts us. You have no authority over us any longer fear. Poof! Be gone!! In the name of Jesus.
I have a few other choice words I could use to issue sentencing but I think you get the point. Take the power back. Don’t just be hearers but be doers. Understand that you have the ability to get “IT,” whatever it is. All you have to do is put one foot in front of the other and walk it out:
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walking cross the floor
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walking out the door
You never will get where you’re going
If you never get up on your feet
Come on, there’s a good tail wind blowing
A fast walking man is hard to beat
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walking cross the floor
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walking out the door
If you want to change your direction
If your time of life is at hand
Well don’t be the rule be the exception
A good way to start is to stand
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walking cross the floor
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walking out the door
If I want to change the reflection
I see in the mirror each morn
You mean that it’s just my election
To vote for a chance to be reborn
