You can now use the social networking website Twitter to send your prayers to the Wailing Wall located in Jerusalem, Israel.
The Western Wall now has its own Twitter address to handle electronic petitions. Over the centuries, people have placed their handwritten petitions between the wall’s ancient stones. In recent years, the faithful could fax or e-mail their prayers.
People all over the world can tweet their prayers, have them printed and placed in the wall.
Alon Nil, a 25-year-old economist said he started the Wall’s Twitter page three weeks ago and has already received hundreds of electronic prayers.
