Christian voices in the Latin music space are evolving beyond traditional worship and praise. Our modern-day contemporaries are dropping music that not only glorifies God, but is relevant and timely. The use of their cultural backgrounds in their sound is only an added bonus. For your playlist consideration, check out these inspirational Latin artists who deserve a spot in your Gospel rotation beyond Hispanic Heritage Month.

1. Alex Campos

Colombia-born Alex Campos is one of the most influential Latin American Christian artists in the industry. His songs such as “Al taller del Maestro” (“To the Master’s Workshop”) transcend Christian radio, crossing over to secular stations in the Spanish-speaking world. Critics believe his persistence and musical versatility has long sustained his career. These days, Campos calls Houston, TX home and is releasing music as an independent artist. His last album, “Esencia,” dropped on August 23 combines contemporary worship music with elements of Latin pop.

2. Elevation Español

For years, Elevation Worship has been releasing Spanish versions of some of their popular songs, establishing Elevation Español in 2017. Since then, the branch has blossomed into a brand of its own beyond simple song translations. Now, Elevation Español is back with “Algo Nuevo Viene.” Released on September 27, the album represents a bold step into a different era of ministry while using Latin rhythms. Elevation Español is currently on a world tour this fall through Peru, Colombia and Mexico City.

3. Daddy Yankee

In 2023, Daddy Yankee announced his plans to retire from music, but the King of Reggaeton did not put down the mic and decided to instead proclaim his devotion to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through music. Last Easter he dropped “Donante de Sangre” (“Blood Donor”), a song about turning his life over to God and how it transformed his life. Currently, Daddy Yankee is among top reggaetoneros telling the story of the genre in a new Peacock docuseries, “Reggaeton: The Sound that Conquered the World”. He’s also releasing a memoir in April 2025, “ReaDY! The Power To Change Your Story” where he said he’ll share his testimonies and more on his faith walk.

4. Lee Vasi

A Christian R&B artist, Lee Vasi is not afraid to get intimate with listeners about her conversations with God. Just last month, her song “My Bad,” written about being the best version of herself and what God wants her to be, eclipsed 2 million streams on Spotify. Vasi’s music is her testimony and her desire is for it to enrich the lives of those who tune in.

5. Biancallove

With a deep commitment to sharing God’s love and the Gospel, Biancallove is a bilingual artist with a vibrant career ahead of her. Her debut single “Baila!” marked her crossover into the Latin market. Right now she’s pushing forward with “Por Siempre” featuring Stevie Rizo, an infectious song about the realities of having a relationship with the Lord.

6. Kim Viera

After snagging features with Lil Wayne, Pitbull and Daddy Yankee, Kim Viera has turned over a new leaf, turning away from secular artist in favor of a putting out music that glorifies God. Last month she released an acoustic version of her song “Faithful,” about being covered by the Lord and understanding his love is unchanging. Viera is dropping a new song on October 11 and previewed it on Instagram.

7. Blanca

After several EPs, albums and even a collaboration with Jekalyn Carr, Blanca is ushering a new era of Contemporary Christian music. Her upcoming single “Are You Ready” features elements of a nouveau hip-hop sound modeled after artists such as Cash Cobain. Even her song “Worthy” contains elements of afro-beats. Blanca efforts to maintain relevancy through her music will likely catapult her to the head of the class.

8. Angie Rose

No one’s unstoppable like a Latina from The Bronx. Angie Rose is blazing her own trail in the Contemporary Christian space, releasing faith-based hip-hop music. She isn’t afraid to tell the truth about the struggle and says she makes music that empowers listeners between the rounds of their own personal fight. She recently dropped a new EP called “The Letters I Never Sent” that’s available on her website for a donation.
